In reading Bernard Goldberg’s ‘100 People Who Are Screwing Up America’ I ran across Mary Daly, a feminist activist. To quote the book:

Mary Daly, an important feminist academic, when asked what she thought of the idea (put forth by another feminist) that the male population should be reduced to cut down on violence, she responded: “I think it’s not a bad idea at all. If life is to survive on the planet, there must be a decontamination of the Earth. I think this will be accompanied by an evolutionary process that will result in a drastic reduction of the population of males. People are afraid to say that kind of stuff anymore”.

Did you hear that men? Ms. Daly believes that you no longer need to exist in mass numbers. That you are something that needs to be ‘decontaminated’. That an evolutionary process needs to occur in order to cleanse our planet of the male gender.

Excuse me Ms. Daly, would you be including my husband in this idea of yours? Would you be including my three male offspring in this idea of yours? Please ma’am, just exactly who would you like to see exterminated?

“Attention men, if you are of coward heart please contact your local sperm bank so we can milk you; after that you will be gathered up with the rest of the testicular homosapiens where you will then be transferred to a containment camp. From that point we will separate you into groups based upon your level of violent tendencies. Those of you who are indeed violent will be transferred to an extermination camp, but the remaining men will be allowed to live out their natural lives in one of our many holding camps.”

Feministas believe that the violent nature of men will eventually destroy mankind. What I find ironic with this theory is what the actual statistics show. Inner city violence most often occurs with young men who have been raised WITHOUT a father. Many criminals, whatever their crime, have been raised in the same situation. The presence of men is vital to a healthy upbringing for both genders. (No, I will not be jumping into successful single parenting, that’s not what this is about.)

Her ideology is mostly based upon violent acts towards women caused by men. She also believes that the actions of war are brought on upon violent men. I’m going to take a blind step here and guess that she’s anti-war. But if she’s so adamant about ridding our planet of men it would seem the common sensical approach would be to indeed send them off to war. After all isn’t it young men who are dying in mass numbers?

Ms. Daly, I love men. I especially love my man and the men we have created together. I love how men are willing to give their own lives to protect WOMEN from other men. I love how men are willing to sacrifice precious time from their families in order to support them. I love men who take pride in their home and their family. In all honesty Ms. Daly, I prefer men to women. What you see is what you get; how much more honest can one be than that? Of course there are deviations from that general idea, but that exist with women as well.

For centuries men have been saving women from men; and now women will have to save men from women. The full circle, hmmm.
